WICKER BAGS FOR SPRING AND SUMMER

One of my favorite things about spring is finally having an excuse to pull my beloved wicker bags out of my closet again. I&#;ve amassed quite a collection of wicker bags over the years (I&#;ll share a few photos below!) but they just make me so happy and each one adds a relaxed but chic element to spring and summer outfits. I&#;m also including rattan and straw bags in this round-up as well as all different shapes and sizes as all of them share a neutral color palette that work with every color in your wardrobe no matter where you&#;re headed this season. I hope you find a wicker handbag or two you love too!

WICKER BAGS FOR SPRING AND SUMMER

A pretty open-top wicker tote that comfortably fits a wallet, , sunglasses, and more. It comes in some really fun colors but you can&#;t go wrong with the classic tan leather!

I just ordered this one and the quality is great in person, though it&#;s worth noting it&#;s larger than I was imagining (more of a tote than a handbag). I love that you can add a subtle gold monogram to the leather handle!

Pamela Munson makes some of my all-time favorite woven bags and this bamboo handle beauty is an instant classic. Wouldn&#;t it be pretty with an all white outfit and espadrilles?

I love the knotted ribbon handles on this straw beach bag which comes in five pretty color combinations and can be monogrammed for a personal touch.

Some of my very first wicker handbags came from J.McLaughlin &#; the quality is excellent and their designs stand the test of time. I love the striped lining on this wicker bucket bag style!

A modern take on the timeless Nantucket lightship basket, this woven clutch is an eye-catching heirloom that will have strangers asking, &#;Where is that from?&#;

Available in three sizes and endless color options, this straw tote is an easy bag to bring to the beach. You can add a painted monogram to the square on the front, but I almost prefer it without!

The leather trim dresses up this straw tote enough to bring it out to dinner, and the size is perfect for carrying just the essentials.

An elevated take on the canvas tote that&#;s perfect for the pool or daily use as a super chic summer diaper bag.

I love the versatility of this wicker box bag that you can wear either as a crossbody bag or as a clutch with the chain tucked inside.

There are so many cute color combinations for the stripe and monogram on this hand-painted straw tote. So cute with a brightly colored beach towel tucked inside!

I could not be more in love with this wicker shell clutch that has a pearl closure and interior gold chain if you wish to be hands-free. I think it could even work as a statement accessory at a summer wedding!

The shape of this top handle bag reminds me of a gorgeous (and far pricier) Mark Cross bag made a few years back, but the wicker woven with navy leather and the polka dot lining are uniquely Kate Spade.

If you&#;re looking for an affordable straw beach bag, look no further. This one has long handles that make it easy for travel or at least toting towels to and from the beach.

These knotted grosgrain straps are a Pamela Munson staple and I love that this straw tote is lined and has an exterior pocket making it more practical for everyday use.

This brand makes some of my favorite straw hats so it figures that their straw totes are just as pretty! This one would also be a great pick for trips to the farmer&#;s market.

BTB sky Jules tote, $150

I love the sky blue faux leather handles on this open weave tote from Tuckernuck.

While it&#;s not inexpensive for a beach bag, I still think the knotted leather handles on this straw tote make it look higher-end than it is! I also don&#;t have anything quite like it which is putting it at the top of my wishlist.

J.McLaughlin&#;s wicker clutches look great on women of all ages and I love the bamboo turn closure on this new style, which also has a detachable leather strap so it doubles as a crossbody.

The least expensive woven bag on this list is also one of the roomiest &#; it&#;s a no-brainer if you&#;re looking for a no-frills straw tote that has plenty of space for pool towels.

I&#;m not saying you should carry your laptop in a straw bag; I&#;m just saying that you technically could with this one. Perfectly oversized if plan on bringing a book (or bottle of rosé!) to the beach.

I love the contrast of a natural straw texture with more polished leather trim. I would carry this one day or night!

I love the fringe trim on this straw tote that also comes in white.

This petite top handle bag is admittedly more about looking pretty than carrying anything practical, but I have a hard time saying no to a bamboo handle!

I like the boxy structure of this straw tote which means it will stand up on its own rather than lose its shape. The leather patch on the front is actually a detachable card case that can be personalized with a gold foil monogram &#; it&#;s like two accessories in one!

I know, I know, two wicker clutches with pearl closures in one post, but how could I not?! I love the light blue gingham detail on the side of this one &#; I&#;d wear it with a navy cashmere sweater and white jeans for an outdoor dinner reservation.

Handwoven by artisans in Kenya, this oversized straw tote has the prettiest pale blue leather trim &#; I swear this one picture doesn&#;t do it justice!

I just ordered this style as well and it&#;s again larger than I was expecting in person! (Note to self: read the measurements for a change instead of just looking at the pictures!) But I love that it&#;s lined and the leather handles are super soft.

If you have your heart set on a classic Nantucket lightship basket, I would shop antiques stores on island or peruse Etsy or eBay for a vintage reseller, but I do think this ASHA style is a fresh take that combines a familiar shape with more modern components like a leather strap and floral detail.

I feel like this casual nautical style just belongs on a boat, don&#;t you?

This picture doesn&#;t do it justice, but this slouchy style is a summery homage to the Hermès Kelly shape &#; the brand&#;s Instagram has better photos where you can see the bag in action in a number of different colors.

The navy leather version of this bag is probably my most worn year-round handbag for several years running, so I had to include the raffia version in this spring and summer round-up! I personally prefer this style without the monogram (rare of me to say, I know!).

The colorful leather trim and classic shape of this bag remind me of designs my mom worked on at Coach in the early s but I think the look is just as current today. I love the idea of a pop of bright orange with summery blue and white stripes!

This shape reminds me slightly of a basket my dear friend Carver (who is also one of my all-time most loyal blog readers &#; hi, friend!) carried to our wedding welcome party and I think this modern interpretation is so fun!

A pretty summer staple with or without the monogram, this is a great wicker bag to bring out for a dinner date. The navy version is gorgeous too!

A statement bag with knotted pearl and grosgrain handles and ample space for all your warm weather necessities.

This straw tote became an instant go-to of mine last summer &#; you can see more pictures from when I was very pregnant with Peter in this post!
